I was born in Ireland and graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Since 1977 I have been living in Germany and started teaching economic and business English at a language school in Offenburg the same year. I have been a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg since 1980 giving students media and presentation English tuition. There is special emphasis on intercultural communication for the students who are doing placements abroad. For many years now companies in this area have been among my clients where the senior, middle management and employees take courses to prepare for doing business in English with their international contacts.Having been a member of “Toastmasters International” a club which specialises in communication skills for the past seven years, I get great practice giving presentation instruction in English to the other club members and receiving it back.
